First lady Melania Trump made a stunning appearance at the congressional ball on Thursday night, Dec. 12, lighting up the White House Grand Foyer in a white dress.

“The gown was paired with a matching white cape embroidered with sparkling silver crystals. The long elegant gown featured a high neckline and a slender fit. The matching cape loosely draped across her shoulders in an elegant fashion. Melania sported a matching set of polished nails in a crisp white sheen,” Daily Express described.

The stylist Jules Standish shared her thoughts of First lady’s choice, “Melania and her choice of all white, wearing it as well as decorations, represents balance and optimism, a liking for order and clarity of thought.”

“Being naturally open-minded and receptive she has a clear and direct approach to life and likes to be respected for her opinions. She is open to new challenges and ideas but likes to make her own decisions and not be swayed by others,” Standish told Daily Express.

The First lady and President Trump, who wore a black tuxedo, both took to the stage to give a short speech in the Grand Foyer of the White House, which was decorated for the festive season.

After thanking Karen and Mike Pence for attending, President Trump said, “I want to congratulate Melania, she did such a beautiful job with the decorations.”

The president continued, “We have the best economy we’ve ever had in the history of our country. And the stock market, as you probably have heard—all those 401(k)s and all of those jobs out there—the stock market just hit a brand-new high.  That will be 129 records that we have in, really, fairly much—substantially less than three years.”

“Our country is doing really great,” he added.

Trump also expressed his love with the White House.

“We’re very proud of this country. We’re very proud of this home. We call it a home; some Presidents called it a house. And some Presidents called it much worse than a house, I will say. But we love the White House. It’s a special place. And our country is a special country,” he said.

The president went on to predict, “We’re going to have a fantastic year. We’re going to have the best year we’ve had in many, many decades. This is — we’re set up for one great, big, beautiful success.”

“Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah,” Trump concluded.

Later, Melania Trump shared her photos on Fanpage, saying “A beautiful evening at the White House.”
