Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) proposed a bill intended to stop any proposed funding for U.S. economic relief to be siphoned into businesses owned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The legislation introduced on Tuesday, March 24, is called the No CHINA (Chinese Handouts In National Assistance) Act, and it is aimed at preventing money for fiscal 2020 intended to help support businesses affected by the CCP Virus from filling CCP coffers. A massive $2 trillion relief package for workers and businesses hit by the CCP Virus was agreed upon between the Trump administration and Senate early on Wednesday, March 25.
“The global coronavirus pandemic has been exacerbated by the Chinese government’s malicious misinformation and propaganda campaign against the United States and its citizens,” Gaetz said. “Allowing American taxpayers’ money to go to companies owned by the Communist Chinese government is antithetical to our ‘America First’ agenda.”
National Review’s David Harsanyi noted in a recent report, “Early on, the Communists destroyed samples and suppressed vital information that could have helped mitigate the damage of this new strain of coronavirus,” reports BPR.
Harsanyi added, “The government also silenced doctors who warned about the disease. Some were censured for ‘spreading rumors’ or sharing test results with colleagues, and some were forced to write a self-critical public letter—a Marxist mainstay—admitting that the warning ‘had a negative impact.’ The Chinese Communists probably let 5 million people leave Wuhan without screening.”

If China spent less time covering up their flaws to save face and more time trying to develop medical technologies rather than simply stealing everyone else’s innovations we would all be way better off today. #ChinaLiedPeopleDied

Gaetz and other lawmakers have been strong in their criticism of the CCP for hiding the facts about the CCP Virus from the rest of the world, even going so far as to punish any whistleblowers who tried to alert others, including Dr. Li Wenliang—the first whistleblower that shortly after posting the information on WeChat, himself died from the infection.
President Trump placed the blame for the pandemic squarely on the CCP, and calls it the “Chinese virus.”
Gaetz, in introducing the legislation, said, “Every single American worker displaced by COVID19 should be fully compensated before one nickel from our Treasury goes to Chinese-owned corporations operating here in the United States. Full stop.”
“I’m proud to introduce the ‘No CHINA Act’ today, which prevents appropriated money, including coronavirus relief funds, from being disbursed to businesses owned by the Chinese government. Chinese corporations operating in America must not be eligible for the upcoming trillion-dollar bailout, now or ever,” Gaetz’s statement concluded.
