The Chinese drug cartels, directed from Shanghai, get rich by causing thousands of deaths annually in the United States from addictive drugs, and the most terrible of these groups is the Zheng.
One of the heads, Fujing Zheng, 37, who operated under the alias Gordon Jin and his father Guanghua Zheng, 64, were charged along with two other accomplices for their crimes in the United States in 2018, Fox News reported on Nov. 12.
Their crimes include, “conspiracy to manufacture and distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to import controlled substances into the United States, operating a continued criminal enterprise, money laundering, and other crimes.”
As a result, the U.S. The Department of the Treasury (DOT) blocked all assets and ownership interests of these individuals and one entity, which are in the country or in the possession or control of Americans.
U.S. Treasury Assistant Secretary Justin G. Muzinich spoke about the most lethal of drugs: fentanyl.
“Fentanyl and other drugs have caused overwhelming devastation to communities across America,” he said, according to the DOT website.
“The United States is committed to holding drug traffickers and those who facilitate their operations accountable for the suffering they impose upon American families,” Muzinich said.
He also reported that the Zhang cartel’s operation extends to at least 37 U.S. states and 25 countries.
Richard Higgins, president of HTG, LLC, a former National Security Council strategic security and information warfare consultant as director of strategic planning, explained some of their activities.
The Zheng cartel
“For the past 12 years, Chinese criminal organizations have become the backbone to the drug cartels with chemicals supplied to the [Mexicans] cartels and laundering tens of billions of the cartel profits in North America and Europe,” Higgins said.
The journey of the deadly substances begins in the industrial hub of Wuhan, China, and by sea arrives at super tent laboratories in Mexico, and then is smuggled across the border into United States.
In addition, the same cartel supplies raw materials to the Mexican drug lords, so they can produce the drugs and market them.
The security company Fortress Risk Management, revealed part of its activities, through Lee Oughton, co-founder and director of operations.
The criminals “have the collaboration of Customs authorities and members of the Sinaloa and Jalisco Nueva Generación cartels in Mexico,” Oughton said, according to Fox News.
He added, “Once in the country, the drugs are transported by air and land to the United States through the states of Jalisco, Nayarit, Sinaloa, and Sonora.
Last year at least 72,000 Americans died from these drugs, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Although the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has not been officially declared an accomplice to these crimes by the Trump administration, doubts remain.
“As part of the CCP’s unrestricted warfare model, they have progressed significantly against America with their enhanced role in the drug business,” said former DEA Special Agent Derek Maltz.
He added, “They can make billions and, at the same time, undermine the security of America.”
“A kilogram of fentanyl can kill 500,000 people, so the administration should look at the death rates and treat this as a serious national security threat as opposed to only a public health crisis” Maltz reiterated.
