Podcast host and UFC sports commentator Joe Rogan assured his more than 13 million followers that he was cured of coronavirus in three days by taking—among other medications—ivermectin.

“Hello friends, so I got back from the road Saturday night, feeling very weary, I had a headache and I just felt run down. And just to be cautious, I separated from my family, slept in a different part of the house, and throughout the night I got fevers and sweats, and I knew what was going on,” he explained.

“So, I got up in the morning, got tested, and It turns out I got COVID,” said Rogan.

“So, we immediately threw the kitchen sink at it, all kinds of meds, monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone, everything,” he continued.

“And I did that three days in a row, and so here we are Wednesday, and I feel great!” Rogan said. “I really only had one bad day, Sunday sucked. Monday was better, Tuesday felt better than Monday, and today I feel good, I actually feel pretty f***ing good.”

Because the FDA has not approved ivermectin as a treatment against the CCP virus, Rogan received a lot of criticism on social media for promoting the drug to treat COVID.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its use in humans, but only for parasitic infections and skin diseases, and for its part, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has warned Americans that it is dangerous to take ivermectin as a treatment against COVID, but that hasn’t stopped people from continuing to buy it.

Joe Rogan is one of the most popular podcast hosts globally, averaging 200 million views per show.

On his shows, he invites different personalities, whom he casually interviews and exchanges opinions.

Rogan has previously made headlines for criticizing the vaccines passports that people have to show to prove they have been vaccinated to lead a normal life.

“When you give people freedom, you let people do whatever the f— they want to do, they actually find ways to succeed and grow and thrive,” Rogan assured.

“But as soon as you put the boots to them, as soon as you tell them, ‘You have to do this, or you can’t do that. You have to listen to me,’ now you have a mini dictator. You have one step away from a king. One step closer. You’re moving one step closer to dictatorship. That’s what the f— is happening,” he added.

“That’s what’s gonna happen with a vaccine passport. That’s what gonna happen if they close borders,” the host stated.

The commentator was also criticized for recommending healthy young people not to get the coronavirus vaccine, but due to the backlash, he had to clarify that he was not an ‘anti-vaccine’ person.

“I am not an anti-vax person,” Rogan assured. ” In fact, I said I believe they are safe and I encourage many people to take them. My parents were vaccinated, I just said I don’t think that if you’re a young healthy person, that you need it.”

Ivermectin, a background

In several Indian states, before vaccines became globally available, local governments decided to administer ivermectin to the population, with encouraging results.

According to the Desert Review, in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Goa, infections were reduced by 98%, 97%, 94%, and 86%, respectively. In contrast, in Tamil Nadu, which decided not to use ivermectin, cases skyrocketed and became the highest in India. Deaths in Tamil Nadu increased tenfold.

According to the same report, after WHO advised India to stop using ivermectin and instead vaccinate the population, both infections and deaths in India skyrocketed.
