The Democratic presidential candidate for the 2020 election Joe Biden, has come under a cloud of suspicion in Ukraine, and mainstream media has been very quiet on the serious allegations.
District Court Judge S. V. Vovk ordered Ukraine’s law enforcement services to formally list the fired Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin, as the victim of an alleged crime by the former U.S. vice president, according to an official English translation of the ruling obtained by Just the News.
Although this occurred in April in Kyiv, the allegations have mostly gone unreported.
The Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigations had been ordered in February to carry out an investigation into Shokin’s claims he had been fired from his position in 2016 because of pressure exerted by then Vice President Joe Biden. Shokin had been conducting an investigation into Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company where Biden’s son Hunter was on the board.
“They need to investigate this. They have no other alternative. They are required to do this by the decision of the court. If they don’t, then they violate a whole string of procedural norms,” Shokin’s lawyer, Oleksandr Teleshetsky said in an interview.
The ruling from the court was there was enough evidence to allow Shokin’s claim that Biden applied pressure on then-President Petro Poroshenko, which included threats to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees.
Shokin was Ukraine’s chief prosecutor, and he claimed Biden’s interference was unlawful.
Law enforcement officials who opened the case at the time refused to name Biden, instead listed him as an unnamed American. Judge Vovk ruled that listing was improper, and demanded he is named, ordering officials to list Joe Biden as the accused perpetrator.
The ruling orders “a competent person of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine who conducts procedural management in criminal proceedings No. 62020000000000236 dated February 24, 2020, to enter information into the Unified register of pretrial investigations … a summary of facts that may indicate the commission of a criminal offense under Paragraph 2 of Article 343 of the Criminal procedure code of Ukraine on criminal proceedings No. 62020000000000236 dated February 24, 2020, namely: information on interference in the activities of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Shokin, Viktor Mykolaiovych performed by citizen of the United States of America Joseph Biden, former U.S. Vice President.”
Judge Vovk added, “the order of the court may not be appealed.”
In 2019, President Trump spoke in that infamous phone call to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy asking for an investigation of this kind.
This led to the president’s impeachment by the House and his eventual acquittal in a Senate trial.
