Jane Fonda will have to spend a night in the slammer after being arrested for the fourth time for unlawfully protesting over climate change.
This time, “Hanoi Jane” (as people called her) was among 45 people arrested by U.S. Capitol Police on Friday, Nov. 1, inside the Hart Senate Building after protesting and advocating lawmakers to finally act on climate change. The protest is part of Jane’s “Fire Drill Fridays” … an initiative inspired by Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg, according to TMZ.
Jane was seen willingly giving her hands to the police officer, smiled as she was handicapped, and gave a thumbs up to the crowd as she was hauled away. Authorities confirmed she’ll spend a night in jail for this arrest.
Actresses Catherine Keener and Rosanna Arquette were also arrested and charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding.
The last three times, Sam Waterston and Ted Danson were also arrested.
