The Middle East is now witnessing the most intense conflict between Israel and Hamas ever since 2014. Israeli and Palestinian skies have been lit up as the fighting enters the seventh day.

From when the conflict began, more than 2,000 missiles have been launched from Gaza by Palestinian terrorists into Israel, with about half of them being intercepted by missile defense systems and 380 landing in Gaza Strip, Reuters reported.

Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, two militant organizations, were behind the rocket attacks on Israel.

According to Palestinian medical officials, 149 people have been killed in Gaza since Monday, including 41 children and 20 women, and 950 others have been injured. Israel has reported ten have been killed.

Israel has responded by launching airstrikes targeting terrorists and their infrastructure in Gaza.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad regularly store and shoot rockets from residential areas. As a result of this act, more Palestinians have been put in danger.

To minimize civilian casualties, the Isreal government has alerted Gazans of imminent attacks and used the tactic of “roof knocking,” which involves dropping non-explosive devices on buildings to warn people that they are about to be hit by airstrikes and give them time to flee, National Review reported.

Biden administration brings back violence to the Middle East

Biden, through his presidency, has signaled stronger relations by restoring incitement money to the Palestinians while also demonstrating desperation to return to Iran’s nuclear agreement.

His administration has indicated that it is willing to lift sanctions aimed at its sponsorship of terrorism.

A report by Daily Wire this week highlighted how Palestinian extremists have openly boasted or thanked Iran for the weapons they received from it.

According to the current situation, the Biden administration is not promoting peace with Israel but the opposite.

Republicans raise their voices to stop the tragic war

In a statement on Tuesday, May 11, former President Donald Trump condemned Biden for being responsible for the escalating violence between Israel and Palestine. He said that the U.S. needs to support Israel for defending itself against Hamas terrorist attacks. In addition, he highlighted the difference between the current presidency ruled by the far-left Biden and the Trump Peace administration.

“When I was in office, we were known as the Peace Presidency, because Israel’s adversaries knew that the United States stood firmly behind Israel and that there would be swift retribution if Israel was attacked,” Trump said in a statement posted on his website.

“Under Biden, the world is becoming more violent and unstable because Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is provoking new attacks against our allies.”

Dozens of senators have pressed Biden to stop negotiating with Iran.

Through an open letter published on May 12, more than 40 Republican senators demanded that President Biden immediately stop negotiating with Iran. They are described as the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, following the countless attacks on Israel this week.

“The United States must not do anything to enrich Israel’s enemies, such as by offering sanctions relief to a regime that seeks to destroy Israel,” the senators said.

“As a longtime friend of the Jewish state, we also urge you to unequivocally support Israel’s right to defend itself against any and all terrorist attacks,” they wrote.

The senators said it was imperative that the United States not fund those involved in violence against Israel, America’s key ally.

Meanwhile, Andrea Stricker, a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), said the United States should end its involvement in the Vienna nuclear deal negotiations.

“The nuclear accord, embedded in U.N. Security Council resolution 2231, lifts sanctions on Iran and removes an international embargo against Iran’s import and export of missiles in October 2023,” Stricker said in a statement to Daily Wire.

“We see what happens when Iran can import and export missiles. Lives are at stake in the region. Iran cannot have additional funding to outfit its violent proxies.”
