The director of national intelligence (DNI) has announced his report on any foreign interference in the U.S. 2020 elections will be delayed, as senior intelligence analysts are in dispute over the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) operations information.

“This afternoon the DNI was notified by career intelligence officials that the Intelligence Community (IC) will not meet the Dec. 18 deadline, set by executive order and Congress, to submit the IC’s classified assessment on foreign threats to the 2020 U.S. elections,” Amanda Schoch, assistant DNI for strategic communications said in a statement to Fox News.

“The IC has received relevant reporting since the election, and a number of agencies have not finished coordinating on the product,” Schoch continued. “The DNI is committed to providing this report to our customers expeditiously.”

On Sept. 12, 2018, President Trump declared a national emergency via his “Executive Order on Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election.” DNI John Ratcliffe is thus required to submit the report to President Trump, the attorney general, and others designated in the order by Dec. 18, 2020.

Ratcliffe has just been notified that Intel officials do not intend to release the report on time. He has refused to sign off on the reports attempting to ignore the evidence that CCP has interfered in the election.

The DNI broke the news on Twitter.

According to Fox News, the dispute has arisen over what information should be included in the report. Some say CCP’s efforts at interference were only “minimal,” while others argue there is “ample raw intelligence” the CCP had acted strongly to interfere.

Bloomberg News first reported the dispute and noted that Ratcliffe and other Trump-appointed officials, including National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, and U.S. Attorney General William Barr, had warned earlier that the CCP posed a more significant threat to U.S. elections than Russia.

New intelligence information points to the CCP’s plans to interfere in the election, preventing President Trump from being re-elected.

Ratcliffe, in an exclusive interview with Fox News earlier this month, warned that the CCP is the “greatest national security threat that we face.”

“The intelligence is so clear that China [the CCP] is our greatest threat,” Ratcliffe said. “People that equate other things, or say, oh, you know, Russia is a greater threat, they are politicizing intelligence.”

He added, “I am hoping now that the election is over, now that people have voted, and if there is a Biden administration, that they will get past politicizing intelligence and be honest about China and acknowledge that China and China [the CCP] alone is the greatest national security threat that we face.”

Is the Intel report being delayed to prevent President Trump from taking any action against the CCP?
