An attempt to make a deal with the Libyan government can be added to the long list of shady activities attributed to President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, when his father was vice-president.
Business Insider first reported the shady deal, which was to pay Hunter a $2 million retainer per year (plus extras), in return for which he would help to unfreeze funds belonging to the Libyan government. Fortunately, the proposed deal, during the Obama administration, fell through.
The proposal was presented to Hunter Biden by two Democratic Party donors with business in the Persian Gulf, knowledgeable of the extensive relationships he had built by accompanying his father on international trips, revealed emails obtained by Business Insider as reported on Sept. 23.
The events occurred in 2015, four years after the death of Libya’s dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, to whom the administration of then-President Barack Obama had frozen $15 billion.
The emails obtained read: “Since he travels with dad, he is connected everywhere in Europe and Asia where M.Q. [Gaddafi, also spelled Qaddafi] and LIA [Libya Investment Authority] had money frozen. He said he has access to the highest level in PRC [China], he can help there.”
The emails continue: “He had access to the highest level in the PRC [People’s Republic of China], he can help there,” wrote donor Sam Jauhari, addressing Sheikh Mohammed al-Rahbani, referring to Hunter Biden.
Further, Jauhari explains, “Per phone conversation I met with #2 son, he wants $2 million per year retainer… his dad is deciding to run or not,” Jauhari wrote, according to Fox News.
Investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald commented on these explosive Business Insider revelations in a conversation with host Tucker Carlson.
Greenwald argues that the mainstream media has consistently lied about the underhanded activities of Hunter Biden and his family, even though thousands of emails and documents found on an abandoned laptop were labeled as authentic.
“The evidence was overwhelming from the beginning, Tucker, that the emails were authentic,” Greenwald emphasized.
He added: “And yet they lied and lied as you just showed trying to convince people to not even pay attention to them on the grounds that they were disinformation, that the emails were fake.”
During the same conversation,, Tucker made other no less serious allegations, implicating another senior Obama administration figure, during the same time.
“Hillary Clinton had Muammar Qaddafi, the head of Libya, killed for reasons nobody ever explained… and then money from the [Tripoli] treasury was impounded,” Tucker said.
He added, “If Hunter Biden was actually lobbying the U.S. government while his dad was vice president to get that money, that’s a very big deal. It’s probably a crime.”
For her part, author Katie Pavlich compiles other Hunter Biden shady dealings involving the Communist Party of China (CCP), deeming them fraudulent.
“What wasn’t known then was that as he accompanied his father to China, Hunter Biden was forming a Chinese private equity fund that associates said at the time was planning to raise big money, including from China,” Pavlich explained.
She added, “The Chinese business license that brought the new fund into existence was issued by Shanghai authorities 10 days after the trip, with Hunter Biden a member of the board.”
