A little boy was given a unique surprise last week by a sanitation worker, who is also his friend.

Aaron Mitchell, with American Waste Control, would frequently see and talk to the little boy on his route, no matter the weather—30 degrees Fahreheit or 100 degrees—according to the city of Jenks.

The boy would be outside in any kind of weather to welcome the trash men and truck, so the crew on the back of the truck became excellent friends with the entire family.

On Aug. 1, Mitchell delivered to the little child a brand new toy recycling truck–all wrapped in a tissue paper and in a Mickey Mouse gift bag and, of course, a smile!

Yesterday, Mitchell delivered a brand new toy recycling truck to the young Jenks resident. This was done by Mitchell’s own generosity.

“Thank you, Mr. Mitchell, and the whole crew from American Waste Control, for making this little boy’s day and keeping our community clean!” said city officials on Facebook.
