Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received a warm response at a country music festival on Sunday, June 6, at Panama City Beach after he denounced “Fauci-ism.”

In the clip posted on Twitter by Christina Pushaw, DeSantis walks out onto the stage in front of a raving crowd, shouting and cheering him on with enthusiastic applause.

“Florida chose freedom over Fauci-ism,” DeSantis told the crowd.

The festival featured country music stars such as Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The outdoor event attracted an audience of 30,000 spectators, none of who were required to wear a mask. In the event area, the organizers arranged a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus (COVID-19) vaccination room for those in need.

The next day, Ron DeSantis tweeted that “Nothing says Florida is open like a night of live music at the @Pepsi @GulfCoastJam, the largest music festival since the pandemic began.”

Governor DeSantis likened Florida to “America’s West Berlin” while comparing it to states that imposed harsh restrictions to cope with the CCP Virus pandemic.

In a press conference last month, DeSantis said that “People have the right to work, a right to operate businesses.”

“They need more employees. That’s the main thing at this point. We’re proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish. We are effectively America’s West Berlin over the last year, and people view this as a free zone,” added the governor after suspending all statewide CCP Virus restrictions.
