Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) released an executive order banning vaccine passports—a digital method of vaccine monitoring that has been debated within the Biden administration—on Tuesday, April 6, in the Lone Star State.

“As I have said all along, these vaccines are always voluntary and never forced,” Abbott said.

He said that no Texan should be forced to provide evidence of vaccination or disclose personal medical details to continue their ordinary activities.

“We will continue to vaccinate more Texans and protect public health. And we will do so without treading on Texans’ freedoms,” Abbott added.

Abbott also “forbade any ‘public or private entity’ that receives government funding, such as loans, grants, and contracts, from withholding service or entry to Texans who do not have proof that they received inoculation,’” he stated.

Abbott took action after Gov. Tate Reeves (R-Miss.) on Monday followed Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) opposing the so-called vaccine passport, which shows someone’s vaccination record.

“I don’t think it’s necessary, and I don’t think it’s a good thing to do in America,” Reeves said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

On Friday, DeSantis issued an order banning the use of vaccine passports in Florida.

“You want the fox to guard the henhouse? I mean, give me a break,” DeSantis stated. “I think this is something that has huge privacy implications. It is not necessary to do.”

DeSantis said that a “vaccine passport” for movies, sports activities, and amusement parks would be “completely unacceptable” if implemented by the government or the private sector.

According to The Washington Post, the Biden administration “and private companies are working to develop a standard way of handling credentials—often referred to as vaccine passports.

They pointed out that many businesses, “from cruise lines to sports teams,” will require proof of vaccination before opening their doors again. The Biden administration seems to see this as a promising step.

Naomi Wolf, a doctor of philosophy, is also trying to raise awareness of the alarming situation in which several governments worldwide are imposing vaccine passports.

“I am not overstating this. I can’t say it forcefully enough, this is literally the end of human liberty in the West if this plan unfolds,” Wolf emphasized in an interview with Steve Hilton on his Fox News program “The Next Revolution,” published on March 29.

“It cannot be allowed to continue,” reiterated Wolf, recalling that the CCP uses a similar system to control more than one billion people and locate any dissident in five minutes.
