New York Giants safety Kamrin Moore has been arrested over the weekend and charged with punching a woman and knocking her unconscious in New Jersey.

Moore got in an argument Thursday night outside his home in Linden, New Jersey with a woman, 22, he has been dating since January, according to court documents.

Moore allegedly put his foot on the unidentified woman’s neck and applying pressure. When the victim stood up and began yelling at him, Moore punched her, causing her to lose consciousness.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for “bruising, swelling and abrasions.”

He was later arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated assault.

In a statement, the Giants noted that Moore would be benched for at least six games.

“New York Giants safety Kamrin Moore was arrested over the weekend in Linden, New Jersey, for an alleged domestic violence-related incident. Moore has been suspended by the team pending further investigation,” the team announced.
