A week-long investigation into Gabby Petito’s death has exhausted every possibility. However, her grieving family members still visited her memorial site in Florida to revisit her case.

Mother Nichole Schmidt used social media to share a photo of a heart-shaped cloud in the sky on Oct. 10.

“Goodbye Florida … thanks for showing so much love,” she said on Twitter.

The family made the special visit to a makeshift memorial for Gabby at North Port City Hall, according to NewsNation.

Teddy bears, flowers, posters, and keepsakes were piled up outside as a grand display of community support for the family of the young woman, who went missing during a road trip with fiance Brian Laundrie.

FOX 13 News reported the family members took some of the many objects with them before city officials were due to take down the memorial on Oct. 12.

City officials are working on a permanent monument after some of the items left at the improvised area were spoiled by southwest Florida’s hot and humid weather.

Meanwhile, the search for Brian Laundire continues, with police claiming they would not be surprised if he was found dead or alive. Nobody has seen Laundrie for more than three weeks.

A North Port Police official responded to queries about how Laundrie could flee despite constant surveillance.

Since Laundrie was reported missing, police have scoured the Carlton Area. His family members last saw him wearing a hiking bag with a waist strap, heading into the reserve on Sept. 13.

Authorities believe conditions have improved in the area, allowing them to explore previously inaccessible locations.
