Fox Business Network fired Trish Regan for defending President Donald Trump’s response to the CCP Virus (Wuhan coronavirus) pandemic and accusing Democrats and their media of using the virus to take down the president, according to a new report published on Friday, March 27.

“FOX Business has parted ways with Trish Regan—we thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” the network announced in a statement obtained by the Mediaite.

Recently Regan has come under fire for calling the media coverage of the CCP Virus another “impeachment scam” as part of their efforts to “destroy the president.” After that, the network announced her primetime show would be going on hiatus due to demands of the virus coverage, Mediaite reported.

“This is just another attempt to impeach the president. And sadly they seem to care very little for any of the destruction they are leaving in their wake. Losses in the stock market, all of this unfortunately just part of the political casualties,” Regan said on her primetime show on March 15. “This is the time to be united, not to be pointing fingers, not to be encouraging hate and what do we see is absolutely opposite from the left tonight.”

Todd Starnes is a conservative radio host, columnist, and author and President Trump on Friday retweeted his comments on Regan, as saying “Can’t say enough wonderful things about @trish_regan—one of the few conservatives in cable television. She’s a great patriot and great friend.”

“What a huge loss for the channel and for the American public,” said the Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft.

Meanwhile, the network scored a massive ratings victory for airing live President Trump’s task force news briefing. On Wednesday, it saw nearly 5.9 million viewers watching the president’s daily update.
