Former U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley praised President Trump’s authorization after the U.S. airstrike killed top Iranian military commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani, saying “We responded with strength, not fear.”
Haley tweeted late on Thursday night, Jan. 2, calling Senior Iranian Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani “an arch-terrorist with American blood on his hands.” Haley also said she is proud of President Trump’s strength and decision to take appropriate action against Soleimani.
“His demise should be applauded by all who seek peace and justice. Proud of President Trump for doing the strong and right thing,” she tweeted.
The next day, Haley warned Iran in an interview that the United States was not going to react with fear if threatened or attacked, “Recently I spoke on the Iranian threats in the region. The Iranian regime had a choice to make. Their choice was to plan for another attack. We responded with strength, not fear.”
