A Florida woman was arrested Monday, July 8, after being caught on camera picking her nose and sticking her fingers in ice cream, as well as using an ice cream maker as a toilet.
According to Indian Shores police, Jung Soon Wypcha, 66, of St. Petersburg, used the bathroom with the door open five times and did not wash her hands before walking over to the freezer and putting her hands in the containers of ice cream on June 17.
Later that day, Wypcha was also seen picking her nose before touching the ice cream and spitting into the containers.
Then, on June 22, the woman’s behavior had escalated when Wypcha urinated in a bucket used to churn ice cream at Lu Lu’s Ice Cream Shop. She then allegedly dumped the bucket into a rinsing sink used to wash utensils and mixing bowls.
Paul Chiulli, who owns the ice cream shop, said all the tainted treats worth around $2,000 had to be destroyed for public safety, and that his store had to close for four to five days.
The woman was reportedly not drunk or on drugs and had no indication of mental health problems.
Wypcha was charged with criminal mischief and violating Florida’s Anti-Tampering Act.
