A Florida woman eight months pregnant is credited with saving the lives of her husband and 11-year-old daughter after she used an AR-15 to fatally gun down a home intruder.
Two masked intruders broke into the family’s home in Lithia, Florida, close to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The men pistol whipped her husband, Jeremy King and kicked him in the head several times while violently grabbing their daughter.
His wife, who is more than eight-months pregnant, peeked out of the back bedroom to find out what was going on, one of the burglars shot at her. She then ran into a back room, grabbed an AR-15 rifle, and stormed into the living room.
The woman promptly shot at the men as they ran from the home.
Police found one of the men’s dead body lying in the ditch nearby. The second suspect is still at large.

The homeowner said he suffered a “severe beating,” but credited his wife for saving him.
“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” said King.
“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it. [My wife] evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”
The sheriff’s office confirmed that the AR-15 was in the home legally.
While Democrats want to seize guns from legal firearm owners, there are numerous instances like this incident where a “good guy with a gun” stopped an armed criminal from killing innocent people.
