Authorities said a Florida woman crashed a children’s birthday party and allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old boy in front of another child.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Jessica Rae Good, 43, was arrested Wednesday, May 12, after the teen told a staffer at his high school that he was sexually assaulted over the weekend at a home in Port Charlotte after a birthday party.
Authorities said Good had been drinking with a friend before crashing a party for another teen on May 9 when her friend went to bed.
“After returning home intoxicated, Good continued to ‘hang out’ with the juveniles while allegedly making extremely inappropriate sexual comments and providing the 17-year-old victim with alcohol,” sheriff officials stated in a statement.
Per the arrest report, Good allegedly raped the teen within an arm’s reach of the 12-year-old girl. Before she was awakened by sexual activity, the child said she was sleeping in a bean bag chair. The girl said that the boy whispered to her to help him, then got up and vomited in the toilet. When he returned, the sexual abuse continued.
The arrest report stated the boy later told deputies that Good forced herself on him after falling asleep, saying that he could not push the woman off him due to her weight. In jail records, Good is classified as weighing 250 pounds.
Good told police she had “blacked out” and said she didn’t recall most of the illicit sexual interaction.
Good of Punta Gorda was charged with two counts of child abuse and two counts of sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 18. According to jail reports, she was released from the Charlotte County Jail on Monday after paying a $150,000 bond. It’s unclear if she’s found an attorney to represent her.
The Port Charlotte Sun reported Good has no criminal background in Charlotte County. On June 21, she will be arraigned.
