A Florida mother was arrested on Thursday, July 11th, after her underage daughter was recorded licking a tongue depressor and then putting it back to with unused depressors, at a Jacksonville doctor’s office.

According to jail records from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, 30 -year-old Cori E. Ward was arrested on the felony charge of tampering with a consumer product without regard for possible death or bodily injury. Ward is not eligible for the bond and is due in court on Friday, July 12th.

According to NBC affiliate WTLV, Ward posted a video on social media Tuesday showing her daughter at the All About Kids and Families Medical Center placing the licked tongue depressor back in the other tongue depressors.

Before apparently deleting her account, the mother defended herself on Facebook and implied that the materials her kids were handling while waiting for medical appointments were all either cleaned or discarded, WTLV reported.

“I posted this on my personal Snapchat with my 20-something friends, where someone allowed another person to video it. I didn’t post it on Facebook or YouTube as a challenge or whatever,” Ward wrote.

Wade’s arrest comes a week after a girl was identified in a viral video by police in Lufkin, Texas.
