The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said that a FedEx truck driver was killed after a pickup truck crashed into it Thursday morning, Sept. 26, in Seminole County, Florida, Click Orlando reported.

According to the FHP, a 20-year-old Deltona man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck when it veered into the southbound lane for an unknown reason and collided head on with a FedEx box truck.

The fatal crash was reported at 9:40 a.m. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to an FHP report.

The FedEx driver, an Oviedo man, was taken to the Oviedo Medical Center, where he died. The Deltona man was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in critical condition, troopers said.

Neither of the drivers’ names has been released. 

The crash is under investigation.
