Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) Officer Michael “Mike” Levish died on Wednesday, Aug. 21, after battling pancreatic cancer.
“It is with great sadness that we share the loss of one of our own, PFC Mike Levish, who was battling pancreatic cancer,” the FCPD said in a press. “We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.”
Levish 38, of Ashburn, Va., formerly of New Kensington, died “with his loving family by his side.”
Levish served with FCPD for the past sixteen years.

Levish left behind his wife of 10 years, Esen Bankaci Levish, and their children, seven-year-old Evren and six-year-old Ela.
Levish is also survived by his parents, siblings, and his in-laws.
“He was a phenomenal father and husband. His family always came first,” his obituary read.
He was laid to rest on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
