Journalist James O’Keefe, director of the independent journalism network Project Veritas, released a scandalous audiotape of the first of several conference calls in which CNN execs discussed how CNN should cover the president’s claims of election fraud.
On Tuesday morning O’Keefe revealed that he has been listening for months to the conversations of CNN president Jeff Zucker and his executives about propaganda and public manipulation tactics to disfavor Donald Trump.
O’Keefe said, “CNN says in Jeff Zucker’s 9 a.m. editorial conference call, how ‘they,’ the Democratic Party, powerful interest groups, may determine how CNN will cover Trump not conceding the presidential election,” The Post Millennial reported.
In a tape recording that was released Tuesday, CNN correspondent Jamie Hangel spoke specifically about the editorial direction, which the television network should take to cover up Donald Trump’s allegations of election fraud.
“We have to be, you know, news organizations have to be very careful and very responsible about not giving Trump too much of a platform on his not conceding. Because they feel the transition can go forward,” Hangel said.
“And, you know, other than the national security briefings, which are critical to start now, they just don’t want us to exaggerate that Trump isn’t leaving office,” Hangel continues.
In the same call recorded by Project Veritas, CNN’s CEO emphasized that they should not “normalize” Trump’s behavior after the election.
As Gateway Pundit pointed out, in another of the audios you can also hear CNN’s digital vice president of global programming, Marcus Mabry, attacking Fox News journalist Tucker Carlson, claiming that he was racist.
“These statements made by high-up executives at CNN prove that they are simply not interested in being unbiased when reporting on the new,” said O’Keefe.
“CNN likes to call itself ‘the most trusted name in news,’ but how can the public trust a network that routinely hits people simply because those people have certain political views that are not aligned with the media,” the investigative reporter added.
In addition to Carlson, Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) was also singled out for criticism by CNN, “Calling Tucker Carlson a racist and demanding CNN employees attack Lindsey Graham is outrageous and unprofessional behavior.”
O’keefe noted that as long as mainstream media outlets aim to influence the election, especially as the country’s future becomes more uncertain, Project Veritas will continue to conduct its investigations.
