President Trump fulfilled his constitutional duty on Sept. 26 and appointed Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the vacancy left by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. The Senate must now confirm the president’s appointment and by beginning its work with the Judiciary Committee hearings on Oct. 12. The Democrats are implementing all their efforts to prevent the appointment because they know that with her on the court they will no longer have a defense of their unconstitutional agenda.
The nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett generated a great deal of commotion among Democratic leaders who took it with great concern, knowing that if her nomination is confirmed, it will hurt their left-leaning plans, which are often outside of what the Constitution requires.
Even before Ginsburg’s death, the Democrats began their efforts to block a possible Barrett nomination. According to The Hill report, first, arguing that with only a few days left before the election, the president should not appoint a court judge. They then rushed to inquire among President Trump’s dissident Republicans hoping to find enough support to stop the constitutional nomination process. That failed.
Since the Democrats know they don’t have enough votes in the Senate to procedurally block a presidential nomination, they are trying other alternatives to delay the nomination.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) promised to use “every tool” to delay the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court and began his strategy by assuring that in the presence of the CCP Virus it is not a good time to confirm the nomination because of the risks of meeting in session as reported by Fox News last week.
During the vice presidential debate, the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, pointed without real foundation against Barrett. The judge nominated by President Trump really scares the left. She is recognized for her entire professional history of being impeccable at reading the Constitution by making a literal analysis of the laws, and replicating the model of her late, former boss, Justice Antonin Scalia.
The profile of the judge indicates that she will not hesitate to strike down unconstitutional laws frequently promoted by the Democrats, such as Obamacare if confirmed before the higher court.
According to the Washington Examiner, another of the points that would be attacked by the Democrats when it comes to defending their position of not accepting Barrett’s appointment, is her recognized faith, arguing that this point would take away from her objectivity and would influence her decisions. Lacking all logical and legal support, the Constitution in fact strongly supports freedom of spiritual and religious belief.
Barrett is regarded in the justice system as a brilliant legal minded person who possesses a fair and impartial approach, a temperament of utmost rectitude and a deep respect for the rule of law and the Constitution of the United States.
