African American civil rights attorney Leo Terrell is strongly critical of the BLM movement and its growing influence in the Democratic Party and said he hopes President Trump will win the next election.
Leo Terrell no longer considers himself a Democrat. The African American radio broadcaster and civil rights attorney, who was recently called “Leo 2.0” in the media, has taken a stand that does not match the growing leftist ideological demands of the Democratic Party and said he plans to vote for President Trump in November.
Terrell has recently been interviewed on different television channels to express his strong opinion regarding the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and the organization’s link to the Democratic Party.
On Thursday, July 9, on Bill Hammer Reports, Terrell spoke with Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera about the controversial BLM mural that was painted on Fifth Avenue in New York City with the participation of Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Terrell said, “The Black Lives Matter organization does not care about all black lives,” he said. “They don’t care about police officers who are killed. They don’t care about black-on-black crime at all. They don’t care about school choice. It is a very extreme organization that really only cares if a police officer is involved in a killing. What bothers me more than anything else, you look at their manifesto, it is extremist.” He added, “A lot of black Americans such as myself will be voting for Donald Trump this year because the Democratic Party has been hijacked by black lives.”
A few weeks ago, on the Life, Liberty & Levin show, Terrell called the BLM movement “profiteers” who are motivated by money, and who have a “false narrative”: “They’re profiteers. They are profiting on trying to give a narrative, a false narrative that is white racist cops, deaths destroying the black community.”
When Mark Levin asked him about BLM’s relationship with the Democratic Party, Terrell replied, “I’m hoping, I’m begging I’m praying that they don’t control the Democratic Party. But the current status right now, it is, it has controlled the Democratic Party. It has muted Democratic leadership. The Democratic leadership is afraid of Black Lives Matter for a variety of reasons.” He added that he believes the most insulting reason Democrats fear the BLM movement is that they think [BLM] speaks for all African Americans, which he concluded by saying, “BLM does not speak for Leo Terrell. … We are individuals and we have our own individual opinion. I can assure you those African Americans in these Democratic cities, they want law and order.”
