After state Rep. Cynthia Johnson (D-Mich.) threatened the supporters of President Donald Trump in a video that went viral, she was stripped of the charges that had been entrusted to her.
This was announced by House Speaker Lee Chatfield, adding that an investigation has been launched to determine whether further action is needed against her inappropriate behavior, according to the Dec. 9 Daily Caller.
The video Johnson posted on Facebook was rejected as inciting hatred and violence.
“So this is just a warning to you, Trump fans. Beware. Walk carefully. We’re not playing with you. Cut the crap. That’s enough,” Johnson warned.
“And for those of you who are soldiers, you know how to do it. Do it right. Be in order. Make them pay. I love you all,” she added in part of the nearly three-minute video.
“Michigan State Democratic Representative Cynthia Johnson threatened Donald Trump’s supporters in a live Facebook video on Tuesday, saying it’s a warning message to the president’s supporters,” Daily Caller reporter Henry Rodger wrote, attaching the video.

It seems that she also had even more compromising messages that she did not dare to broadcast in public.
“I wish I could talk to you in a private room, because, uh, I just wish I could, but we’re in the public eye so …” Johnson added.
Johnson was minority vice chair of the House Oversight Committee, and served on the Agriculture and Family, Children, and Senior Citizens Committees.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel referred to Johnson’s comments, who had reportedly received threats as well.
“As Michiganans, and as Americans, we cannot allow the hateful rhetoric of a few individuals to drag the masses into a spiral of unjust actions. It is never acceptable for anyone, especially a public official, to incite violence or threaten others with harm,” Nessel said, cited the Detroit Free Press.
However, for some it is not enough that she has been removed from her positions on the committees, and they are calling for her to be removed completely.
“We inform the Attorney General that Senator Cynthia Johnson because of her behavior and threats to Americans should be removed! We believe she is unpredictably dangerous! She is a senator representing Michigan and should not be allowed to hold that office,” wrote user @SonjaRemmenSoph.
