A Californian Democrat that runs a city with one of the nation’s highest homelessness rates turned a blind eye to a fellow party member’s disregard for social distancing rules.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed will not fine House Speaker Nancy Pelosi despite Pelosi being caught on camera breaching CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Virus restrictions at eSalon, 3 miles north of the central business district.

On surveillance footage obtained by Fox News Pelosi can be seen standing up and walking through the business without wearing her face mask. She later admitted to having her hair washed and dried on Aug. 31, even though beauty salons were ordered to keep their doors closed in March and were only supposed to serve customers outdoors from Sept. 1.

“It is unfortunate this conversation has blown up the way that it has and distracted us from the real issue,” Breed said in a statement. “We can either focus on blaming and saying who should do what but we have bigger issues as it relates to this country, and I have a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for the hard work that Nancy Pelosi does every single day.”

The remarks came after Pelosi accused salon staff of deliberately luring her into the business with the ill intention of humiliating her.

“When they said, ‘Well, we are able to accommodate people, one person, at a time, and that we can set up that time, ‘I trusted that,'” she said. “As it turns out, it was a setup, so I take responsibility for falling for the setup, and that is all I am going to say on that.”

The speaker then ruled out apologizing to the American people for her poor judgment and even suggested the salon owner Erica Kious and her team should be the ones who say sorry to her.

“I think that they—this salon—owes me an apology for setting [me] up,” she said.

Kious has rejected the allegation that she or any of her independent stylists misled or tricked Pelosi, and even revealed the Democrat had repeatedly visited her salon for “quite a while” before the footage was finally released, according to the Daily Wire.

The mayor seemed to ignore how Pelosi’s actions contradict her earlier advice for Americans to protect themselves from the CCP Virus by always wearing a face mask.

Breed tried to shift the blame back on the Oval Office instead for failing to stop the pandemic from spreading, even though the rest of the world is still struggling to contain the disease.

“The fact is we do not have good, solid federal leadership that is helping to facilitate this COVID-19 (CCP Virus), and over 180,000 Americans have died as a result of this virus,” she said. “Had we had what we needed from day one from this federal administration, then we would probably not be in as bad of a situation as we are. Our focus should be on making sure that we as a city are providing also good information.”
