The Macon County Coroner’s Office has released the identities of a brother and sister killed in a double homicide Sunday, Oct. 20, in Macon County, Alabama.

Coroner Hal Bentley has identified the victims as Sharon Gess, 48, and her brother William Gess Junior, 60, WRBL reported.

The siblings were found deceased in a home on their property in Notasulga, according to Bentley.

Bentley said they were found at about 1:40 p.m.

The cause of their death remains under investigation.
