A father was arrested in a quadruple homicide of his 6-year-old son, a 2-year-old girl and two adults in Cleveland, Ohio’s Slavic Village on Tuesday, police said.
The suspect was identified as 26-year-old, Armond Johnson. He was taken in custody and is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge of aggravated murder Friday.
Cleveland police said Johnson killed 35-year-old David Cousin Jr., and 25-year-old Takeyra Collins, as well as children, 6-year-old Armond Johnson Jr., and 2-year-old Aubree Stone.
Emergency dispatchers received a 911 call reporting the body of a man lying in a field.
Cousin’s body was found on the ground shot multiple times in the head and chest on July 9, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers forced entry into a nearby home after smelling smoke, police said. The bodies of woman and children were found there, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Collins had been shot multiple times in the back and stomach and the children died from smoke inhalation, according to the medical examiner’s office. Authorities said that the house had been set on fire.
Police believe David Cousin was a neighbor of Collins and happened to stumble upon the suspect when he was leaving the area.
