Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott, being interviewed Sunday by Fox News’ Maria Baritomo, warned that some of the migrants who are illegally entering the United States through the southern border could be spies from China and Iran.

Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Abbott about the Chinese-origin border migrants entering through the Southern border. Abbott responded without hesitation that they could be spies for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The Chinese immigrants mysteriously entering through the South “could have espionage targets,” Abbott said during the interview as he flew a helicopter with the anchorwoman over the conflict zone on the border with Mexico.

“There again, this shows the danger of the [President Joe] Biden administration not doing anything because we need to debunk if there’s anybody out there who thinks that these are still just people coming from Mexico or Central America coming here to engage in agriculture, something like that, they’re forgetting about the people from China, from Iran, from terrorist-based nations.”

The Texas governor’s dire warnings inform that it is not just Latino immigrants escaping misery who are pouring into the United States through the southern border.

In addition to the usual migrants, there is an increasing number of foreigners from other parts of the world such as China and Iran, knowing that illegal entry into the United States is much easier through the southern border than through any international airport where controls are more severe.

For her part, journalist Bartiromo stated that a border guard had told her that  “they apprehended a group from China, and the group from China told them that they paid $50,000 a head—and by the way these were scientists and doctors and engineers from China. You have to ask why the CCP is sending these people to the border, obviously they don’t want to be noticed, what are they doing when they get here?”

For some time now, it has been denounced that after the border policies of the new Democratic administration, Mexican cartels are making huge profits from human trafficking.

Regarding this situation, Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn said in March: “These criminal organizations have networks all around the world and it’s just a matter of price. If you want to come from Mexico, it’s one price, about three to $4,000.”

The cost increases if the migrants come from other Central American countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador, or Honduras and goes much higher if they come from Europe or China.

In line with the governor’s recent statements, the senator pointed out that migrants are certainly not just people “fleeing poverty or violence in Central America. These are people literally coming from all around the world and we don’t know who they are.”

Abbott took the opportunity to condemn Biden’s new immigration policies and criticized his dismal performance in providing solutions to the current border crisis caused by those policies.

Biden “is doing nothing to stop” a border crisis that continues to see migrants crossing the border without even fearing deportation. He also mentioned that the cost of this crisis includes “health care, education, costs associated with law enforcement.”

In addition to the associated costs, which will be paid for with taxpayer contributions, there is concern about how national security is being put at risk, both by gangs and narcos who may be entering without restriction, as well as spies and special agents from countries in conflict with the U.S. such as the CCP.
