A 20-year-old woman who was sentenced to prison after live-streaming a crash that killed her 14-year-old sister in 2017 near Los Banos has been rearrested after allegedly leading police on a chase early this morning, Thursday, Oct. 17, police officials said.

According to Stockton Police Department’s news release, they attempted to stop a vehicle for code violation in Stockton, California, at around 1:30 a.m.

The driver later was identified as Obdulia Sanchez of Stockton. She failed to yield, leading officers on a short vehicle pursuit.

Sanchez drove off the road near the Interstate 5 on-ramp at March Lane, police said. A male passenger riding in the car with her jumped out of the car and was able to get away.

Officers found a loaded gun in the car.

Sanchez was arrested on weapons and traffic charges.

Despite being sentenced for more than six years, Sanchez was released from prison on Sept. 21 for good behavior after she earned some credit for time served and completed multiple rehabilitative programs, ABC7 reported.
