A toddler has died following a Halloween night crash that killed his father and critically injured his mother when they were struck by a suspected DUI driver in Long Beach, California, authorities said.

The 3-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries at a hospital and died on Saturday morning, Nov. 2, ABC7 reported.

The collision was reported shortly before 10 p.m. near Los Cerritos Park. The family, which was trick-or-treating at the time, had been run down on a sidewalk by a 2002 Toyota Sequoia, police said.

All three family members were transported to local hospitals, the mother and child were in critical condition and the father was killed.

A GoFundMe page identified the boy as Omar Awaida and his parents as Joseph Awaida and Raihan Dakhil.

The driver of the SUV, Carlo Navarro, 20, was booked for driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter and is being held in the Long Beach City Jail on $100,000 bail.

Police are asking anyone with video surveillance footage or other information about the collision to contact Collision Investigation Detective Sirilo Garcia at (562) 570-7355. Anonymous tips may be submitted through L.A. Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)

Intoxicated driving murdered my nephew. He just passed away moments ago in the children’s ICU. My sister is still on life support. Thank you for everyone that has reached out. I’m sure you understand if I don’t get back to you. This is tragic for everyone. If you want to help out please donate to contribute to our related costs the link is in my bio. Nothing will bring them back. So please next time you see your families squeeze them tight. They are all we have. I really don’t have any words to satisfy the guilt of the 20 year old that took away everything from us. He isn’t worth anyone’s time. Omar on the other hand was an angel. #livelikeomar
