It took place at around 4:30 p.m., as four children were walking home from a gas station. The other two were not hurt and ran to get help, police said.

The vehicle in question was described as a burgundy or red Honda Civic or Honda Accord with black wheels and was headed westbound on Florist Avenue. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side mirror and likely additional damage on the passenger side, according to police.

Both boys, believed to be about 4 and 6 years old, were rushed to Children’s Wisconsin. They suffered serious, substantial injuries not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
