Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed as the person responsible for dealing with the critical humanitarian situation generated by her Democratic Party’s controversial open borders policy. Nearly a month later, she says she will only deal with the diplomatic aspects of it.

Border guards were stretched to the limit—detaining nearly 172,000 illegal immigrants in March alone. Another large number entered the country evading surveillance. Harris will only look at the possible causes of the phenomenon in Central America from the comfort of her office, according to Fox News on April 22.

To date, she has only scheduled a virtual meeting with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei for four days from now, and it will likely be months before Harris visits the country. It is doubtful that she will visit the border.

Harris aims to intervene in the Northern Triangle countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. In that sense, she spoke at a roundtable when she said that the underlying issue was “to address the acute and deep causes of migration out of that region, the reasons why people are fleeing.”

Thus, the assertion by Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey that Harris was “the worst possible choice” to handle the growing problem on the U.S.-Mexico border takes on full meaning.

The governor of Arizona, one of the states most affected by the growing immigration crisis in the United States, strongly criticized Vice President Harris during a speech at the University of Arizona on March 23.

During his remarks, he said, “She’s about the worst possible choice that one could make,” adding, “In no point in her career has she given any indication that she considers the border a problem or a serious threat.”

President Biden was heavily criticized for not committing to solving the immigration crisis after his flexibility policies led to the floods of migrants at the border. All his actions culminated with appointing Vice President Harris to lead the response to the crisis.

Ducey stepped up his criticism against the President’s decision saying, “If President Biden’s intent was to show that he’s taking this issue seriously, he’s really done the exact opposite here.”

Like many other critics, Ducey understood that the president’s attitude only served to “trivialize” the issue by placing someone at the helm who is neither interested in resolving the conflict nor has the capacity to do so.

Among the many criticisms received by the Biden administration is precisely the fact that Harris was named the person who would ‘fix’ the border collapse.

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich holds that Harris’s appointment is the best from the point of view of the Democrats because apparently, they do not want anything to be solved.

Among the plans of the Democrats would be not only a substantial invasion of illegal immigrants through the southern border but also the elimination of the Immigration and Border Control Service and the protection of sanctuary cities.

What is certain is that so far, the disaster is escalating to an unprecedented scale, with allegations of child and drug trafficking threatening to destabilize the nation in an unprecedented way.
