Black Lives Matter (BLM) wing leader Hawk Newsome in New York City is demanding an investigation into BLM’s finances after millions of dollars were discovered being squandered by its co-founder, Patrisse Cullors, in the purchase of mansions for personal gain.

Hawk Newsome, leader of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, has called for a serious investigation after a new report revealed that Cullors, 37, has purchased four homes exceeding $3 million over the past few years.

The scandal emerged after The NY Post reported last week that Cullors recently bought a luxury property in Topanga Canyon, a posh area of Los Angeles, for $1.4 million.

Firstly, criticism was not long in coming because it exposed the multi-million dollar business behind the BLM association, disguised behind its romantic speeches of racial equality, racial anti-discrimination, and black vindication.

Secondly, its supporters criticized it. The area where the expensive property is located is in Topanga Canyon, an exclusive location in the City of Los Angeles where its owners are almost 90 percent white and wealthy.

Thirdly, because Cullors, a self-described “trained Marxist,” does not seem to follow a logical coherence between her socialist and social justice discourse, with the recent events in which she was immersed in squandering money after the purchase of luxury homes.

After the impact generated by the news, Cullors’ property records for the last few years were published. To everyone’s surprise, it is detailed that while the United States was involved in violent protests in the name of BLM that ended with looting, police confrontations, and deaths, Cullors was engaged in the purchase of real estate—totaling in the last five years, at least four properties worth $3.2 million.

In response, Newsome demands an “independent investigation” into BLM’s finances and the organization’s leaders.

“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” Newsome said.

“We need black firms and black accountants to go in there and find out where the money is going, ” Newsome added in a highly racist expression. One can only imagine the reaction if a white executive of any organization said that white signatures and white accountants were needed to carry out a particular task.

According to reports, Cullors has even considered in recent months buying property at an exclusive resort in the Bahamas where Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake own properties, The Blaze reported. The properties there are worth more than $20 million.

BLM has faced heavy criticism over alleged transparency issues with its finances, especially considering the organization has both nonprofit and for-profit units.

Last year, as reported by AP News, BLM reported raising a whopping $90 million from 2020 donations alone.
