The Marxist movement used its Twitter account to express ‘solidarity’ with the Palestinians amid the conflict with Israel and defined its stance against the Jewish people bluntly.
Black Lives Matter stands in solidarity with Palestinians. We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all forms and will continue to advocate for Palestinian liberation. ( always have. And always will be ). #freepalestine

Black Lives Matter’s declaration of allegiance to Palestine comes as no surprise given that the conflict with Israel and Muslim Arabs has always drawn sympathy from the historically anti-Semitic left.
According to Breitbart, the Democratic representative, and former U.S. presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders said, “Palestinians know what state violence, militarized police and occupation of their communities look like.”
Sanders two days earlier also branded the Jewish government as ‘racist’ and blamed alleged racism for Palestinians being ‘mistreated’ by Israel and even seemed to have justified terror attacks.
“The Israeli government has evolved over the years into a pretty strong right-wing government. And their coalition now includes people who are overt racists. When you have the United States of America putting almost $4 billion a year into Israel, we have the right to demand that they respect the human rights of all people, including the Palestinians,” Sanders said.
“Anyone who takes a look at what’s going on in Gaza right now, where youth unemployment is 70%, and I’m talking about before this current war and the terrible things that have happened in the war—where youth unemployment is sky-high, where people can’t get electricity and clean water on a regular basis. This is a territory controlled by Israel,” the senator declared in an apparent justification for Palestinian anger.
But in fact, the Israeli government left the Gaza Strait in 2005, and it is a territory entirely controlled by the Palestinians. Thus, the Socialist senator’s allusions appear to be baseless and come at a time when they can be seen as a justification for terrorist attacks.
The Israeli-Palestinian military conflict escalated dramatically on May 10, when Hamas began firing thousands of rockets into Jerusalem following a violent clash between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a site holy to both Jews and Muslims.
Despite hundreds of Israeli counterattacks and its Iron Dome defense system, rockets have continued to fly, and it is estimated that in just one week, the Hamas terrorist group launched more than 2,000 rockets inside Israel’s residential area.
According to Fox News, at least 12 Israelis and 213 Palestinians have been killed in the past eight days, including 61 children and 36 women. More than 100 Israelis and 1,400 Palestinians had been injured as of Tuesday night.
On May 13, Israeli military forces demolished a building in Gaza after identifying it as a terrorist shelter.

The same building housed offices of the Associated Press news agency and the Al Jaerza media outlet. The Israeli government said it had conveyed to the U.S. government that it had intelligence that it was an operational base for the Hamas group.
The Jews’ attack drew criticism that there were two news agencies at the site, but the Israeli Defense Forces claim they warn civilians before attacks on such sites, giving them time to run to safety before razing Hamas’s facilities.
“Israel fights to protect its civilians. Hamas uses civilians to protect itself,” the Israeli military said.
