According to a Fox News report, the FBI is not only already in possession of Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive but also denied that the leaked emails are part of a “Russia disinformation campaign,” as the Democrats put it.
Top officials at the FBI told Fox News on Tuesday, Oct. 20 that the office is in possession of the computer containing the emails that allegedly implicate Joe Biden, when he was vice president, in the overseas business of his son, Hunter.
People within both said the Justice Department and the FBI agree with U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe’s assessment that the Democrats’ claims that the emails are part of a Russian disinformation campaign are false.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) had claimed that the documents were a “smear” on Biden that came “from the Kremlin.” However, Ratcliffe said on Monday that there is no evidence from the intelligence services to support such a claim.
“It’s funny that some of the people that complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing the intelligence,” Ratcliffe told Fox Business on Monday.
“And unfortunately, it is Adam Schiff who said the intelligence community who as you pointed out on Friday said that the intelligence community believes the Hunter Biden laptop and emails on it are part of a Russian disinformation campaign,” he added.
Ratcliffe was blunt about it, “Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that, because there is no intelligence that supports that.”
The DNI also confirmed that the FBI is in possession of the hard drive.
Likewise, police sources have confirmed that the emails in question are real, including one in which Ukrainian official Vadym Pozharskyi thanked Hunter for inviting him to meet his father.
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said the controversial laptop was obtained from the owner of a Delaware computer repair shop.
The hard drive includes emails that show spurious business ties between Joe Biden and his son, who took advantage of his father’s position when he was Barack Obama’s vice president to do business with Ukraine and China.
Giuliani, who serves as the personal lawyer of President Donald Trump, assured that on the hard drive there are an enormous number of photos that “will blow your mind.”
According to Robert Costello, Giuliani’s lawyer, the hard drive contains some 40,000 emails, thousands of text messages, photographs, and videos of Hunter in “very compromising positions.”
The Delaware computer shop owner said he copied data from Hunter Biden’s laptop after he turned it in for repair. According to Costello, he handed a copy of the documents and images to the FBI last December after viewing the disturbing content on Hunter Biden’s MacBook Pro.
Also, from the copy that Giuliani received, the former mayor gave a part of those documents to the New York Post and it disseminated some of the material, including images and videos that show sexual acts and heavy drug use.
The former mayor of New York assured during an interview on the program “Fox & Friends,” that the “confidential information” and the photos on the hard drive are “disgusting” and will “shock the hell out of you.”
“They reveal federal crimes, they reveal disgusting sexual behavior, and then they reveal sexual behavior, and then they reveal numerous times where he has totally gone on crack, which means he spent most of the last five years on crack, and who would pay this man $2 much less $10 million if is he a crack addict?” he wondered.
A recent Fox News report verified with one of the recipients of these emails that Hunter Biden and his father, Joe, received $20 million and $10 million respectively from CEFC China Energy Co. a financial services and oil and gas company.
Earlier this week, the Senate Homeland Security Committee began an investigation into Hunter Biden’s leaked emails from his laptop.
On Tuesday, documents were leaked that appeared to show Hunter Biden’s signature on a receipt from a Delaware computer store where he left laptops that included details of his international business.
President Trump has already ordered Attorney General William Barr to act quickly and appoint special counsel to investigate the Biden family’s corruption allegations.
A week after the news broke, the Bidens have not denied the authenticity of the documents.
