At least seven people were shot on Sunday, Aug. 4, in Douglas Park on Chicago’s West Side.
About 1:20 a.m., the victims were standing in the park in the 2900 block of West Roosevelt Road when someone opened fire from a black Camaro, Chicago police said.
A 21-year-old man was hit in the groin and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
A 25-year-old woman was struck in the right arm and right leg and transported to the same hospital in stable condition.
A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were taken to Stroger Hospital. The man was shot on the right side of the body and the woman was struck in the leg. Their conditions were stabilized.
A 22-year-old woman was hit and taken to Mt. Sinai in stable condition. Her injuries are currently unknown.
Two other male victims, 23 and 21, drove to Mt. Sinai in stable condition.

No one is in custody. Area Central detectives are investigating.
In a separate shooting on Sunday, eight men were shot and one of them died at the scene in Lawndale, police said. Further information on that incident was not immediately clear.
