Cubs Anthony Rizzo, who has always been one to help people affected by cancer, has once again donated major money to a hospital in his home state.

The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation announced on Tuesday, Nov. 5, that it donated $1 million to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.

The donation comes through two endowments: The Hope 44 Endowed Fund and the Anthony Rizzo Family foundation Chile Life Endowed Fund. One to be used for families in need of funds due to treatment costs and will also fund a full-time oncology child specialist.

The foundation was started in 2012, four years after the captain of the Cubs on and off the field underwent six months of treatment for his own cancer, WGN TV reported.

He has made donations to Lurie Children’s Hospital twice over the past three years—giving $3.5 million in 2017 and $2 million in 2018.

Rizzo also hosts a “Walk-Off for Cancer” fundraiser every year in his hometown of Parkland, Florida, as well.
