Mecosta County investigators are asking for the public’s help in an investigation into a damaged American flag.
An American flag flying at Bromley Park in The Village of Mecosta was cut down from the pole, cut into pieces and thrown into the creek in the last week, deputies said.
According to investigators, the flag in Bromley Park has been desecrated four times in the last two years.
Both the flag and the rigging ropes have been damaged, deputies said.
Anyone with information about the people responsible is urged to contact the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office at (231) 592-0150.
