A video published by Project Veritas showed ABC News anchor Amy Robach claiming on a hot mic that the network “quashed” a story that would have exposed the now-deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein three years ago.

“I’ve had the story of for three years,” Robach said on the video recording leaked by a network insider. “I’ve had this interview with Virginia Roberts (alleged Epstein victim). We would not put it on the air.”

“Um, first of all, I was told, who’s Jeffrey Epstein? No one knows who that is. This is a stupid story,” she continued. “Then, the palace found out that we had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways. We were so afraid we wouldn’t be able to interview Kate and Will that we, that also quashed the story.”

Robach also said that she had succeed to convince Roberts, who had hiding for 12 years, to come out with all evidence she had to back up her claims.

“Um it was unbelievable what we had. Clinton (Bill), we had everything,” Robach said. “I tried for three years to get it on to no avail. And now it’s all coming out and it’s like these new revelations and I freaking had all of it. I’m so [expletive] right now.”

Robach was also heard saying, “There will come a day when we will realize Jeffrey Epstein was the most prolific pedophile this country has ever known. I had it all, three years ago.”

She also said that she “100 percent” thinks Epstein was actually murdered given the powerful network that he had.

TheBL reported last week that high-profile medical examiners said “homicide” not suicide was most likely the cause of Epstein’s death despite an official ruling that he killed himself.

Facing mounting criticism given by the leaked video, ABC News-the Disney-owned news organization said the story did not meet the network’s editorial standards to air because it lacked sufficient corroborating evidence, according to The Associated Press.

Fox News’s Jess Walter slammed ABC News’s defense, asking, “How many children were raped in the last three years since this story spiked? Because as Amy said she had witnesses, she had victim, she had photographic evidence. … And ABC News said that did not meet their editorial standards. What are those standards, I want them to come clean because they went after Brett Kavanaugh with 40-year-old hearsay with no corroborating witnesses, no evidence … so what are those standards that allow that to get on the air, I want to know … and it’s Disney company, it’s sick!

Last month, ABC News spurred nationwide outrage by airing a fake Syria bombing video.
