An Iowa boy donated over $16,000 to his local children’s hospital after inspired by Carson King‘s act of kindness.

King known for raising $3 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Hospital after his “College GameDay” sign went viral.

To get such money, 9-year-old Sam Hall dressed up as King for Halloween. And the little boy created a sign, directing people to send donations to his own Venmo account for root beer.

Sam ended up raising $16,660.41 for the children at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

“Little guy has a heart of gold,” King said in a Twitter post.

“Thank you to everyone who donated, encouraged, and supported him along the way. We are forever grateful for your generosity and kindness,” his mother, Cindy Sobaski Hall, wrote on her Facebook page.
