A second-grader from Wichita, Kansas, after reaching out to assist his classmate with autism, is warming hearts across the internet.
The start of a new school year can be stressful for many people. Eight-year-old Connor was having some issues adjusting to the first day of school. He was crying by himself up until another boy named Christian came over to help him.
Christian’s mother caught these photos as her son grabbed Connor’s hand to let his classmate know he was going to be all right.
“It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child! He’s a kid with a Big Heart, the first day of school started off right,” Christian’s mother wrote on Facebook.
April Crites, Connor’s mom, was extremely grateful for the gesture.
“I worry every day that he is going to get bullied for being different and your son absolutely warmed my heart,” Crites wrote on Facebook. “If there were more children like him, I wouldn’t worry about such things.”
This good deed on social media receives a big response.
Moore’s photo of the boys has been shared more than 3,000 times since being shared.
