A 79-year-old man was chased down the street and beaten by two teens in Queens, New York.

The brutal attack happened around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, in front of the Cambria Heights Public Library, according to FOX 5.

Joseph Bonaventure, 79, was assaulted by the two young men. First, one attacker in a yellow T-shirt appears to shove him, knocking him to the sidewalk. Then, another attacker in a white T-shirt repeatedly punched him causing substantial pain.

The elderly man suffered a broken femur and broken ribs. It could be at least two months before he’s fully recovered. In the meantime, Bonaventure is going to physical therapy every day.

The two unidentified men are described as black, 17 to 19 years old. New York police have released video and photos of the suspects.
