The 7-year-old Texas boy whose mother tried to “transition” him into a girl in a recent controversial court between his parents has chosen to attend school as a boy.
Little James Younger gained national attention after his father, Jeffrey Younger, succeed in the fight to block his mother, pediatrician Dr. Anne Georgulas’s plan to James on chemical castration via a gender “transition.”
After court on Oct. 24, James was reported to finally have a say in whether he wants to live as a girl or a boy. He chose to live as a boy, against his mother’s wishes.
James’s mom renamed “Luna,” when she enrolled him in kindergarten. The boy told his dad in a video that his mom dressed him in girls’ clothing and put barrettes in his hair. She claimed James wanted to be a girl.
However, when James was at his dad’s house, he threw away the dresses in the middle of the night. He wanted to be called James and wore boy clothes while at his dad’s house.
The Oct. 24’s ruling was a victory for Jeffrey. The father had previously lost the Oct. 21 battle when judge Kim Cooks refused to grant him sole managing conservatorship over his two twin boys. The public outcry was so great that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called for an investigation into the custody battle and judge Kim Cooks decided that both parents will be joint managing conservators.
The judge also ruled that the mother cannot “transition” James without his father’s permission. She also placed a gag order on both parents to prevent them from talking about the case until after James and Jude are 18 years old, according to The Stream.
