In shooting on Saturday, July 20, at least seven people were wounded in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood outside the historic theater on the Lake complex along Lake Michigan according to FOX32.

Around 3:30 a.m., a group of people were walking towards the lakefront on West Fullerton Ave. as another was leaving, police said.

The two groups started arguing, and people from both fired shots at each other.

Three women — 28, 27 and 24 years old— were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds to the arm, shoulder, and leg, respectively, police said. Two men, 28 and 25, were both shots in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The five people are in good condition, police said.

One woman, 46, took herself to Holy Cross Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the chest, police added. Another woman, 24, was struck multiple times in the leg and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition.

The corner of Lake Shore Drive and Fullerton Parkway was dotted by a cluster of yellow evidence markers as police scoured the crime scene.

Area North detectives are investigating.
