A 3-year-old girl at the center of an Amber Alert in Greensboro was found alive on Thursday, Oct. 10, according to authorities.
Ahlora Shanti-Sample Lindiment was reported abducted shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, from an area near Claremont Homes Apartments.
Greensboro police said at a news conference that a woman called and said she was at the Words of Faith Christian Center when she found a small child believed to be Ahlora.
Officers responded and took the child to a local hospital to get checked out. The girl was positively identified as Ahlora.
Ahlora was doing well and had no apparent injuries, according to police. She was reunited with her family.
The suspected abductor is still at-large and is not in custody.
Greensboro police released multiple photos of the suspect on Thursday.
Police believed the child was taken by a 20-year-old black female who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds.
Ahlora was playing at a playground near an apartment complex and the suspect was around that playground and interacted with multiple adults and children, according to police.
“[The suspect] interacted with some adults, she interacted with multiple children in what was defined as a suspicious way,” Greensboro Police Chief Wayne Scott said at a news conference on Thursday afternoon.
Ahlora was seen leaving the playground with the suspect, said Scott.
