Three motorcyclists were shot and wounded, two of them critically, early Sunday morning, Nov. 3 while riding on the 110 Freeway in Gardena, the California Highway Patrol said.
The three bikers were in a larger group riding south and had just passed the 91 Interchange when someone in a vehicle next to them opened fire around 1:50 a.m. The victims, described as being in their early-to-mid-40s, were transported to a hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.
“We’re really open to any possibilities that could have caused this shooting but one that comes to mind is road rage,”said CHP Officer Lance Nieves.
Whether the shooting was random or the motorcyclists were targeted was not clear.
