Two people were killed and five people are in critical condition after a suspect fired off multiple shots inside a Texas club Sunday night, Jan. 19, police said.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. during a concert the Ventura nightclub along the San Antonio River Walk, KSAT reported.

All of a sudden, an argument broke out inside of the club between a group of individuals and one person pulled out a gun and began shooting, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.

In total, seven people were shot. A 21-year-old male died at the scene, while a second person in critical condition was later pronounced dead.

Five people are currently being treated at area hospitals. Their conditions are not known at this time, police said.

The victims have not been identified and they were all patrons, McManus said. No employees of the bar were shot or injured.

Officials said they have no suspect in custody but are still investigating.
