An 11-month-old baby boy is in critical condition after being shot four times in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Oct. 19.
According to police, the infant was in a car with his stepmother who said she heard gunshots but kept driving until she got home, which was less than 10 minutes away.
The woman told police when she went to take the baby out of the vehicle, she noticed her vehicle had been hit with bullets and the boy had been shot once in the back of the head, once in the chest and twice in the buttocks.
The baby was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and is listed in critical condition.
Authorities have not announced any arrests or names of potential suspects.
The shooting is still being investigated.
